THE LEAD LEARNER

When leaders balance innovative approaches and traditional ‘best practices’, they cause substantial learning for staff and learners.​

 

Educational leaders often feel they are faced with the choice between using innovative leadership methods—such as design thinking and transformational practices—or reverting to traditional authoritative methods. As leaders we yearn for more authentic and engaging methods to engage a teacher’s creativity and engagement, and simultaneously ensure that teachers are facilitating maximal academic and 21st Century learning gains and progress for every student.

The Lead Learner program provides every leader with the knowledge and skills necessary to take a balanced approach that enables everyone in their organization to thrive in creating new approaches to learning and refining current practices.   This two-day session walks leaders through several processes for developing classrooms, departments, schools and systems that focus on extensively enhancing student learning over time.   Using the latest research in school and executive leadership, cognitive and improvement science, and curriculum and instruction, this session presents leaders with practical approaches and tools to move their organization forward.

 

The Lead Learner program consists of a two-day Foundation Series.  Educators that are interested in additional professional learning opportunities should consider the Coaching for Impact program.  

FOUNDATION SERIES

DAY 1 focuses on key practices for ensuring schools establish clarity of expectations, coherence of agreed upon practices, and a system for developing  capacity of all staff to ensure students gain substantial growth in areas of clarity, feedback, assessment capabilities, and rigor. 

 

DAY 2 focuses on key leadership habits that enable teachers and teacher teams to use an array of evidence to build new knowledge and implement, improve upon, and innovate beyond high impact practices.

COACHING FOR IMPACT

 

Often long-term improvement requires reflection, feedback, and the occasional nudge.  Leveraging the latest in research our approach to coaching is impactful for all.  Our services harness the power of coaching, improvement science, and 'train the trainer' models to build long term capacity for systems to continually improve, scale, and sustain.   Our customized coaching program is designed to ensure educators are gaining one year's growth in one year's time.  Combining the latest in coaching research, improvement science, and the core work of Hinge Education, our coaching is focused on individual or collective teams to make progress toward solving any problem within the system.  Educational leaders from around the world utilize the Coaching for Impact services to develop, refine, and sustain effective leadership practices.
